The recipe of Sleeker #1 Hi-Cut is based on a high-tech, shattering mixture of silica-aluminum oxide abrasive. This combination of abrasives provides fast and powerful removal of degraded paint surface and allows to achieve much better finish results than compounds based on aluminum oxide itself. As a result of friction, the AL2O3 grain undergoes initial disintegration. These finer fragments begin to shine the surface but the final stage would not be possible without silica. It is thanks to the silica, which is crushed during the process, that the kaolinite released from it further breaks down the fine grains of aluminum oxide and thus finishes the surface better.
The entire process is carried out at a low temperature thanks to the use of a slip system based on an oil-water emulsion which has very good cooling properties compared to petroleum-based systems.

The compound works great with both rotary and orbital polishers. Properly chosen pads make the polishing process easy and quick. We especially recommend working with microfiber pads such as Blue Killer™ or modern Master Wool Da Series made of blended wool, such as Furious Lily™, which provides a very high level of surface finish with a strong cut.
